Dansa Bling and Kartoon, once the hottest dancing couple in Dancehall has not been seen together for the past weeks. Should we assume that there was an altercation between them, or the two love birds decided mutually to part ways on a positive note?
Whatever it is Dansa Bling says he will continue to "Stay Clear" and "Trample Dem", while Kartoon "Get inna Tempa" and "Steady Wine".
Hype Squad is one of the top dance groups in the Cayman Islands, members are all Jamaican's by birth but reside in Grand Cayman. Apart from their creative dance moves, versatility and high energy on the party scene, hype squad has gained popularity because of their style and fashion. Always appropriately dressed for the occassion and representing their dancehall, Jamaican background to the fullest.
A dancehall dance move is considered official when an artisted endorse the dance move and its creator in a song. Capleton has done it again in his collaboration with Jah Malo entitled "Swagging" (Cash Money Riddim/Scratchy B Production). Dancehall Fashion is all about being creative, outstanding and flamboyant. Lately the dancers especially are not afraid to experiment with different colour combinations, styles and accessories to compliment their outfit. Ling socks, scarves, shades, nap sack, goggles, chains, gloves you name it, they wear it. Straight Pants or some may call it pencil foot pants are now worn by males with confidence.
The dancers however have been receiving a bad rap because of this, they are being branded as homosexuals because of their dress code and style. Non-the-less we encourage freedom of expression and to each his own.

The Dancing community has been hard at work on the upcoming movie "A Dance for Grace", from Jamaica-born Junior Powell and Orville Matherson's Tower Isle Productions.The film features Dance groups Kadillac Dancers, Black Blingazz and Sample Six.The film will be released November 17th at the Carib Cinema in Jamaica.

Dancehall recording artiste PERFECT lashes out on the new dance 'Swag' with his new single "Swag Responsibly". The song is already blasting the airwaves as ZJ Rush on Zip FM premiered it in the AM on October 12, 2010. The song was "PULL UP" over 3 times.
The Swag Dance is causing controversy in the dancehall from all angles. Selector Tony Matterhorn have publicly announced his deslike for the dance, saying: "no man fi a tip pon dem toe" and he is not supporting or encouraging men to dance in such manner. Oneil celebrated his 36th birthday with a party on Saturday May 10, only a few hours before he was gunned down and shot several times in the early morning Mon May10. After days of battling for his life, and the entire Entertainment Fraternity praying for his safe and speedy recovery, Oneil Edwards passed away at KPH hospital on May 26, 2010.
