Born and raised in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), DancehallQueen Chriss showed love for dance at early age, and was active in school dance shows and theatre productions. In middle school she was exposed to Dancehall music and it was love at first sight. With no formal dance training she learned all she could from music videos (before YouTube days), and her interest to know more about this Caribbean Culture grew bigger.

In 2005 she moves to the center of Italy in a small town called Perugia, to pursue her studies and a year later she decides to take her dancing to a professional level and a DVD called “It’s All Bout Dancing – a Jamaican Dance-U-Mentary” was a big inspiration.

In 2007 she started performing at local Dancehall events and parties, collaborating with other dancers and soundsystems in her town.

In 2008 she won the Regional Dancehall Queen Contest, and began to perform in many cities all over Italy, such as Rome, Arezzo and Campobasso, until the end of 2009. And this was a great opportunity to meet fellow dancers, soundsystems and Italian Reggae and Dancehall artists.

In 2010 she traveled to Germany for a Workshop and attends the European Dancers Link Up representing Italy longside Dancehall King Mad Mike.
In the same year she entered the Italian DancehallQueen Contest placing 2nd.

In 2011 she for workshop and the Dancers Link Up in Holland while continuing her shows and workshops in different Italian cities. She also appeared in some music videos with Italian Reggae artists such as:
