Hanna Herbertson A.K.A DJ Golden was born in South Korea, at the tender age of ten months she was adopted to Sweden. Hanna grew up on an island in the Baltic sea called Gotland, it was there she discovered her passion for dance and music. It has from then brought her to many different places around the world. Places she has performed/taught in are for ex. Kingston – Jamaica, all over the US, France, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Belgium and Canada. She is currently residing in Brooklyn, NYC.
As a versatile choreographer/dancer she prefers not to be pigeonholed but her main styles are dancehall, "Dancehall Fusion", hiphop and streetjazz.
In September 2009 she founded Blackgold Dancehall Choreography Crew together with choreographers Genius and History. Together they have been performing all over the US. Appeared on CBS Early Show alongside Mr Vegas and New Kingston for over three million viewers. Their most recent success is the "Nobody Canna Cross It" Dance, dubbed the Official dance by DJ Powa and featured on TV several times.
Her passion for music brought her into the world of artist management, development & PR. Working closely with Cherry L, dancehall/reggae artist and poet originally from St Lucia. Other artists she is promoting are for ex. Keida and Natel. Working with artists, writers, producers and DJ’s gives Hanna the opportunity to be a part of the process of creating the music from scratch. It’s all connected and Hanna, having such a multifaceted background, brings a breath of fresh air to the industry.
Hanna Herbertson is determined to take her dancehall fusion artists and dance to the world!

1. WHAT OTHER CAREER WOULD YOU PERSUE IF YOU WERE NOT DANCING?
I don't know exactly what I would do but it would be related to
entertainment, traveling and/or languages.
2. HOW HAS GROWING UP IN YOUR HOME TOWN MADE YOU THE PERSON YOU ARE TODAY?
I grew up in a small town called Visby, on an island called Gotland in
the Baltic Sea (Scandinavia). It's a very safe town, friendly and laid
back. I think coming from such an environment helps me stay grounded
living in a big city like NYC and working in the entertainment business.

I get distracted very easily
5. YOUR TOP FIVE (5) FAVORITE DANCERS ARE?
It's hard to just choose a few...
I can say that my favorite kind of dancers are the ones that are open
minded and curious to learn many different styles.
I also admire dancers that are talented and successful and manage to
stay humble.
6. WHAT IS/ARE YOUR FAVORITE SONG/S TO DANCE TO?
It changes from day to day lol. Depends which mood I'm in.
7. WHICH ARTISTE DO YOU RESPECT/ADMIRE THE MOST AND WHY?

Getting old, looking back and thinking "I should have taken the
risk"
11. WHATS YOUR OPINION ON DANCEHALL FASHION/DRESS?
I love it! It's expressive, inventive and revealing which also applies to the guys
nowadays (with the tight pants trend lol).
12. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT OTHER NATIONS INVOLVEMENT IN OUR DANCEHALL CULTURE?
Being from a foreign country currently residing in Brooklyn I do my best promoting dancehall music and the culture.
I've met many people all around the world that have a strong
love for dancehall and sometimes it's the person that you least expect.
Dancehall needs other nations involvement to grow
and get the recognition it deserves.
13. WHAT IRRITATES OR ANNOYS YOU THE MOST?
Negative people and injustice
