Betty Rox originated from the islands of Belize and Jamaica. At a young age her family migrated to Los Angeles, CA where she discovered her passion for dance. While training under Los Angeles Dance Director- Karen McDonald, she acquired skills in Modern, Jazz, African, and Hip-Hop dance.

Betty Rox started her professional career at the age of 17, when she choreographed a Cheer-Dance routine for a national “Burger King” Commercial. While incorporating her unique style of Clown-Krump dancing in her auditions, she gained the attention of Director -David La’Chapelle. She was then featured in several of his projects, such as “Christina Aguilera” Music Videos and the street dance Documentary “RIZE”.

Throughout her dance career, Betty Rox had the pleasure of working with Choreographers: Fatima Robinson, Frank Gatson, Anthony Burrell, Lisette Bustamante, Shane Sparks, Darrin Henson, Divine, and JR Taylor. She can be seen dancing in several music videos, commercials, awards shows, live shows and tours.

Along with her professional dance career, she gained a name for herself as the Los Angeles “Dancehall Queen”. While dancing at a Reggae Festival, she caught the eye of Dancehall Recording Artist “Ms. Triniti”. She then proceeded to choreograph several of Ms. Triniti’s music videos, live shows and tours. Meanwhile, working along side Dancehall Artists such as Beenie Man, Baby Cham, Vybz Kartel and Sean Paul. Betty Rox choreography has been featured behind Recording Artist such as Jamie Foxx, Rihanna, Keri Hilson, Teairra Mari, and more.

With an effort to give the Los Angeles Dancehall Scene an authentic Jamaican vibe, Betty Rox started her own Dancehall Crew. The “Roxstarz Dancehall Crew” have recently performed live with Dancehall Artist such as Elephant Man, Macka Diamond, QQ, & Mr. Vegas. Individual members of the Dancehall Crew have also danced for Usher, Missy Elliot, Flo Rida & More!
